VSC Fashion Design Rating Categories:

Find your skill level using VSC’s fashion design rating categories. This is the most accurate rating system available.

Beginner: The client has either zero OR some basic skills, knowledge and experience in sewing, pattern drafting, French draping or pattern grading.

Intermediate: The client has moderate skills, knowledge and experience in sewing, pattern drafting, French draping or pattern grading.

Advanced: The client has superior skills, knowledge and experience in sewing, pattern drafting, French draping or pattern grading.

Professional: The client has solid skills and experience in sewing, pattern drafting, French draping or pattern grading, and is making a professional living from her/his fashion design skills.

Program Title: The Master Fashion Design Program

Fashion Design Rating Category: Beginner OR Intermediate

Program Description: Currently, this is one of the most comprehensive and unique one-of-a-kind Master Fashion Design Programs in the world. In the long Master Fashion Design Program, the client will learn all essential trade secrets, as well as all the different techniques, components, elements, and construction methods used by industry experts and professionals from around the world to design, sew, pattern draft, French drape and pattern grade for women’s wear, men’s wear, children’s wear, and maternity’s wear. The client will learn 100% hands-on to create sportswear, casual wear, athletic wear, evening wear, street wear, costume design, jeans wear, business attire, uniforms, etc. The program will teach and guide the client on how to produce their own line of clothing in Asia, as well as providing valuable manufacturing contacts and referrals. At the end of the program, the client will master all technical fashion design skills, and she/he will create 10-15 showroom garment samples ready for any wholesale tradeshow and overseas production.

Program Title: The Bachelor Fashion Design Program

 Program Description: The Bachelor Fashion Design Program is a simpler and smaller version of the Master Fashion Design Program that covers womenswear, menswear, children’s wear, and maternity wear. It is a program that no school in the world will have in their curriculum. The program is packed with high technical skills that teach the client how to become an experienced technical fashion designer. This program covers all aspects of real fashion trade skills, such as industrial sewing, industrial pattern drafting, French draping, industrial pattern grading, and preparing a tech pack, how to mass produce a line, how to create a business plan, and how to save costs and increase profits. The Bachelor Fashion Design Program teaches people how to become a skillful, savvy fashion designer in the apparel business. The client will also learn how to create designs from scratch or learn how to copy high-end garments into paper patterns and have them reproduced in South East Asia at a much lower cost to maximize her/his profits. In addition, the client will have the opportunity to design, create and produce her/his line of clothing to sell OR to showcase in a wholesale tradeshow.

Program Accomplishments: The client will learn up to 350 different industrial sewing techniques and up to 20 sewing binders of full-scale sewing samples for their future reference. The client will draft up to 40 different slopers/blocks, as well as create up to 70 complete sets of patterns ready for mass production. The client will receive up to 11,000 pages of notes and formulas from up to 40 different modern technical fashion design textbooks used by fashion schools around the world. Program Title: Fashion Design Vancouver Entrepreneurship Program

Program Description: This program is specifically designed for a client who wants to learn the whole spectrum of technical industrial pattern drafting, industrial sewing, French draping and industrial pattern grading, so she/he can create her/his own clothing line, as well as create their own business brand. This program will help the client understand how garments are created from scratch, cut and sewn, fitted, sized, stitched and mass produced, how to market and how to achieve the perfect product to be sold in retail stores or at a wholesale trade show. The client will learn all women’s tops, skirts, pants, casual dresses, formal dresses, jackets, vests, coats, corsets, bustiers, knitwear, sportswear, denim, etc., as well some menswear designs.

Program Description: This is a technical fashion design program for those clients who want to learn and master all facets of technical design trade skills, such as industrial pattern drafting, industrial sewing, French draping and industrial pattern grading, so she/he can work in the fashion industry. This program will focus 100% entirely on professional techniques, high-level-of-difficulty elements, components and constructions, as well as learning all the tricks of the trade.

Program Description:  This program is all about menswear design. Program Title: Apparel Knock Off Fashion Design Program

Program Description: The Apparel Knock Off Fashion Design Program is a new fashion design program that teaches clients how to copy and replicate finished garments from any fashion house, anywhere in the world, by using industry basic to advanced drafting techniques, as well as French draping techniques to copy and transfer the garment patterns onto paper patterns for mass production. The client will learn how to draft basic slopers/blocks and manipulate them to copy real garment designs by learning how to measure, size and grade. The client will have the choice of copying womenswear or menswear designs in this program.

Program Description: This program is about the art of dress making. The main curriculum emphasis will be on learning all essential technical fashion design skills, such as industrial sewing, industrial pattern drafting, French draping, and industrial pattern grading. Program Description: This program will focus on the art of bridal dress making. The curriculum focus will be on helping the client understand and learn all essential skills, such as designing, industrial pattern drafting, French draping, industrial sewing and industrial grading techniques. The client will learn how to measure and create custom-design wedding gowns and eveningwear dresses. The client will learn how to design and construct all different silhouettes and styles of bridal dresses from all different time periods, right up to the 21st century. Clients will also work with laces, beads and appliques.

Program Accomplishments: The client will learn up to 200 different industrial sewing techniques and up to 14 sewing binders of full-scale sewing samples for their future reference. The client will draft up to 18 different slopers/blocks, as well as create up to 25 complete sets of patterns ready for mass production. Program Description: This brand new innovative program was created for designers OR beginners who want to learn how to combine haute couture and fashion design together. Clients will learn and challenge themselves by creating something exquisite and unique from head to toe. Clients will learn all the couture techniques by combining sewing, French draping, beading and using hand sewing techniques to create one-of-a-kind garments that look and feel like they belong in Milan and Paris Haute Couture runway shows. The client will learn all the tricks of the trade to produce a masterpiece creation. In addition, the client will have the opportunity to experiment with creative design from start to finish. This is a great program for someone who wishes to challenge herself/himself to create something truly spectacular.
